Example: A parish council surveys the needs of residents and realises that residents with mobility issues are unable to manage an allotment. They also find that local men need a space to help address their mental health. To address both they create raised beds with accessible pathways and a large shed on their allotments. They apply for a grant from Community Health & Wellbeing to run sessions on how to grow vegetables in raised beds. These sessions are open to all. They also bring in expertise to use the shed as a ‘men’s shed’ several times a week.
