Finance

Initiatives that provide financial education or support economic resilience.

Example: A council establishes a hardship fund, delivered in partnership with a local credit union, for residents to access emergency financial funds. They also establish a small bursary fund to allow low-income residents to take part in local activities. Alongside this they wish to offer a series of ‘Financial Literacy Workshops’ covering budgeting, debt management, and accessing benefits. They apply for a grant to bring in specialists to deliver these sessions.
