Programme Resources & Grant Applications ​

The Community Health & Wellbeing programme is about us helping you to support your communities to live happier and healthier lives.

For four years, SALC has been running a Community Health & Wellbeing programme to support Somerset’s city, town and parish councils to deliver community health and wellbeing projects. The programme is now entering its final few weeks. In total, we have awarded over 70 grants. Many projects we have supported are now complete, others are due to complete by the end of September 2026. The main grant programme is closed to applications. However, we have a small amount of funding available for councils who have not yet received a grant and can complete a project by 30th September 2026. The grant size will be under £2,000.

Community Health & Wellbeing Programme Update:

This is the absolute last chance to apply for a grant from the Community Health & Wellbeing Programme.

 

So if you’re a council and have a project proposal:

  • That can be delivered before 30th September
  • Costs less than £2000 (£1000 more likely size grant)
  • Haven’t received a grant from the Community Health & Wellbeing Programme before – unless it was a survey and this project relates to that
  • Your council will find a way to sustain in future years
