Applications are invited for the position of Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer (RFO) for Nynehead Parish Council. To commence on the 1st September 2026.
Roles & responsibilities include:
Organising meetings of the Council and assisting the Chairman
Administration of Council’s paperwork and governance (including policies)
Advice on procedure
Implementing instructions of Council
Financial management of the Council, ensuring full transparency and accountability using Scribe accounting software
Updating the website with Minutes, Agenda, News & financial or policy documents (free basic web training in WordPress is available)
Attendance would be required at the monthly meetings usually held on the third Monday of every month in Nynehead Memorial Hall at 19.30pm. The Clerk works from home and office expenses are paid with a laptop and printer supplied.
The Clerk is expected to work at least 28 hours per month. Hourly rate is subject to level of experience and will be based on the National Joint Council for Local Government Services (NJC) pay scale. A higher starting salary will be offered for applicants with CiLCA certification, though this is not a requirement for this position. Other free professional training is available.
